Gasoline Additives

I know this subject has been run into the ground on previous forums, however I was not paying attention. What are the pros and cons of non-leaded fuel in the 230 engine, and what (lead) additives are available?

I did have an m37 owner say he had burned a hole in a piston from using non-lead fuel.

Thanks in advance for responses, and I will pay attention this time around.
