Matt,

First series fenders fit under the wheel wells and bolt on from above. Second and third series fenders have a verticle face that bolts to the side of the wheel wells. If yours have a verticle face/flange, they are second/third series.

I am looking for one passenger side second/third series fender in excellent condition if anyone has one for sale. Thanks.
