4 Degree Castor Wedges

Hello,
I've read in a couple blogs where on a CPW, the owner has installed 4 degree castor wedges on the truck to improve handling. In every case, this is for a V8 retrofitted CPW, and in one case for a power steering retrofit. Is anyone familiar with this process, and do you believe it would improve handling for a stock CPW? Im looking to improve the handling at around 45-50 mph.
