Thanks for posting this.
On our farm we do the same. Over the years I have taken more logs than I can remember to the mill, using the tractor front end loader to load them. The front end loader is truly an invaluable tool with 101 uses!
I got nearly all my lumber for projects from my own wood this way at a fraction of the cost. I also bought the white oak for my PW's bed at the sawmill.
