It will be a very tight fit in a '41. Better option would be a later model with the longer nose. I have a 241 CID hemi that is 2.5" shorter and an inch narrower than the 391 in a '51 B3, an it required a 1.5" relier cut in the firewall for the distributor with the front of the engine in the stock position. I have 3" between front of fan pulley and back of radiator. Plenty width, but head will be where steering column comes through firewall.
Steering box will need to be replaced; head interferes.
Starter on left side will interfere with stock pedals; major headache to work around. Starter on right side requires remote oil filter.
Wilcap, Hot Heads and others make transmission adapters for lots of tranys.
I wrote an article last year in 'Power Wagon Advertiser' on my experience shoehorning the dodge hemi into a B3. If you can find it, you can learn from my mistakes.
