25 = 251 in the 1960s WM300s, and most of the time that number is has a prefix of B or V or TS, something like that.
That letter (or possibly pair of letters) defines the year.
There is also likely to be a date code cast into the block below the distributor.
Check the engine pad again, sometimes the letter is set apart from the 25 a little bit.
I attached an image to show a typical engine number from a 1962 WM300.
