The Perkins T4.236 will fit in a FFPW, M37, and I had this engine in a 1941 WC-12. It was quit a torquey engine, but the previous owner install GM axles with too high a ratio (hwy gears) so the split from 2-3rd was horrendous.

The Perkins 6.354 was used in Dodge C/D (PC/PD) 500/600 and L600, but did not sell well in the USA. Here is a picture of my PW300 that has factory installed 6.354, but you would be hard pressed to find another, since it was an engine not offered in the W300 line. I also converted a 63 W300 to T6.354 and it nearly bolted into place using the right components.

I think the Perkins popularity during the 70s peaked, due to the number of converted
Fords, IH, GM trucks I have come across over the years. No doubt, Cummins followed suite with there nearly identical size range 4BT/6BT.

You will find many third world countries that used these engines by the hundred thousands from medium duty trucks to taxi cabs. Dodge offered Perkins diesel engines in export models in the mid-late 1950s.

Great engines, high priced parts.
