looks to me like dodge axles, my 65 was the same, dodge, chevy, ford all used the danas except dodge used the 3/4 full floating axles on the 1/2 4x4s in those years
shift on the fly refers to the fact that there are no locking hubs and you can shift into 4 wheel while moving without getting out of the truck
