I just happened to be a farrier, 13 years and counting. The Swedish anvils are not the most popular amongst most U.S.farriers/blacksmiths but it dosen't lesson it's value. Make sure there is no major damage such as cracks or large sections broken off. It's difficult to properly repair early made anvils and there are only a few people in the US who can do it right. I'd offer $250 and see where that get's ya. Just remember that if you by it, anvils were never meant to shape cold steel.
