More than enough reading to keep you busy.
First the drum and hub must be turned together.
I don't remember the limits but there not much,Meaning the drum was very thin when new.
As Chris said why turn them unless you have a pulsating pedal.
Drums are almost impossible to find. You don't want to ruin one.
To me scoring is not an issue as long as the drum is round..
Knock the glaze off with 80 grit paper and roll on.
