I get my inspiration from all of you! It thrills me to see someone trying their best to save one of these pieces of history from the grave. Awhile back, someone on this forum told me that my outlook was more utilitarian, like a purpose type of approach to the vehicle. That hit home hard, because that is exactly the way I looked at the trucks. They where built for a purpose, not to be admired for beauty. And for geting a job done. But there is a different side to this whole thing that I only began to see once I got into the Challengers. The past is the past, and for better or worse, the Mopar thing really seems to have stood out. My approach to the Power Wagon is becoming more like it is to the Challenger. Very noble and deserved of alot of respect. So, if we do a Power Wagon, give it the respect it deserves, it has earned it. And if we can't afford it, we will do the best we can to keep it going for a few more noble years until we can get to it later. Gordon Maney once wrote " there is something timeless about the Power Wagon," how true that is. The truck, to this day, is a testament of time and endurance. And many still prove themselves on a daily basis, as shown on this forum. I thank all of those that keep parts in stock for us to realize our dreams, and especially those who are willing to help keep someone else's truck going, without hesitation. So here's to all of you who come here to Joe Cimoch's great site....Thank you Joe for keeping us all together and keeping these trucks going. Merry Christmas to all, and please have a Happy and Safe New Year! God bless you all and your families, we are trully grateful to be able to be here to share in the fun!
