Here is what is shown in the parts manuals. But, it appears to be an early attempt at attaching the spring. I have never seen an actual truck set up this way. On all that I have had, the Clip 14-14-5 is much further to the end of the rod that passes through it, right between the cotter pin in the rod and the square boss on the Bellcrank Assy 14-14-1.

What is missing from this image is where the spring attaches to the firewall. I am unfamiliar with the clip that Tom talks about. Maybe he can snake a camera down in there an get a picture for us? ;^)

I am familiar with the bolt that Steve mentions. It is a long bolt that passes through the floor pan and the wellnut on the firewall. I do not have an original bolt with the hole, and did not want to mess with aligning a hole properly, so I just hook the spring around the exposed length of threads and run a jam nut up against the hook of the spring.

Now that I have challenged Tom to get a photo, I guess I had better do so myself. ;^)
