When my son was 16 I bought him a Ford 4x4 flatbed beater to drive to school. Speedometer and fuel gauge didn't work. We installed a hour meter to monitor mileage and fuel usage. After about 3 times of running out of fuel, he realized how to guesstimate for his truck. Roughly 1 hour of driving at 55 or slower used around 8 gallons of gas. We changed oil at every 100 hours of time. 460 ci likes the fuel when a 16 year old runs it, but doesn't buy it!!
