Fleabag here, Posted a sometime ago that I was looking for a ffpw I could buy preferably near me since I do not have a way to haul one, looked at several from forum members an emailed a few and had other offers but, anyway decided that was probably not going to happen yada yada, also posted on Gordon's site and even sent in an add for last months Power Wagon ads. Just this monday had an gentleman that is 84 years old and lives about 75 miles from me and call and wanted to know if I wanted to look at his 1954 ffpw, being that my wife and I wanted to take a ride anyway we went over and looked at this ffpw. His hired hand showed it to us and started it up, cold blooded but warmed up and ran like a new one. Told Ted the hired hand that I would call John and talk to him, went outside to the truck as it's been cold and used Jackie's cell and called John and in about 30 seconds I had bought this 1954 ffpw that was a 2 owner same family truck. John got it off his brother in law and sister that bought the truck and used it on a lemon grove ranch in Castro Valley California , John then bought it and brought it to his home in Loda, Il. it now sets in the shop. Like I said I had given up on finding the right one. I guess the best thing about this truck is there is not one pin head of rust out on this truck, it has quite a few dings and the such but 100 percent solid. John never let it set out after he brought it back to the midwest! This truck has the original firewall pad on it and the mice have never chewed it up. The truck did not come with a heater, must be warm in Castro Valley? Nice uncut or drilled dash and all original gauges work, 6 volt, etc. etc, just a real pleasure to have had the chance to buy. Fleabag!!
