I finally got a drawing and saw how those are designed. very simliar to the trunion bearing except it looks like instead of shims for adjustment the preload is achieved thru the spring on top? I like it.
RE 94 and up: Ball joints have no business being inthe front end of a 4x4 truck. any half way decent engineer should have seen that failure coming. was probably a cost saving move. dam bean counters ;/)
