I also disagree with the obsolete brake statement as well nearly everything on the road used non servo brakes at that time. if adjusted properly you should be able to stop just as quickly as a disk brake conversion. If disk brakes were superior at stopping trucks then heavy duty trucks would have switched over 50 years ago. the advantages of disk brakes dont really come into play until you start to reach speeds of over 80 mph. Which none of my PWs have ever seen ;/). The only reason I would convert would be because disk requires less maintenance than the drums.
