So today Jason and I spent a few hours workin on my junky fenders.
We did a little "body work" straightening the bent rolled edge. Little heat and little hittin with a few different hammers got the outside edge pretty darn straight.
We then measured the rusted section, mapped the holes for the bracket, and finally cut the rusted section out. Got a patch cut to replace it.... Thats where we ran into some technical problems....yeah thats it technical problems...
So that rear portion of the fender has a slightest little arc to it, but then its pretty flat and straight at the very bottom.
Of those of you that have replaced this portion, how have you got that slight arc in the replacement sheet metal?
Jason gave me a section of the sheet metal. In our shop at work, we have some fabrication stuff, one of them is a roller bender. Im gonna give that a shot in the next few days. But we were wonderin how others of you have accomplished that little arc.
