I have a lot of problems with vapor lock in my classics due to ethanol and the altitude here in Colorado. For the Dodge I put a insolating material (used on race engines) on the gas line from the pump to the carb. It helped a little. I installed that fuel pump shield from VPW and had no issues this summer. I left the material on the gas line. I hear running the gas line around the fender, using rubber hose, is the way a lot of people fix this.
