Anything can be made to fit. Start with wheelbase.

I'd start by electing a frame to suit intended wheel base. Blazer or Trailduster for short, short bed, or long bed, for longer.

Worst/most expensive custom work would be to get the radiator built to fit. Move bracketry ala the 251 to gain more room in the engine compartment.

Tires,wheels,lift can all come later, they are just a matter of throwing cash into it.

PS: Put the running boards back on. It's not that hard to drill holes in the frame to bolt the brackets to. The cab looks naked without them.
