I read some stuff on that axle and it shows an inner seal and says the bearing should be packed with grease. On my sno-cat, there was no inner seal on either side when I took the shafts out, so I figured the bearing was lubed by gear oil that would slosh down to the ends of the tube from time to time. Is this axle always supposed to have inner seals and greased bearings, or do they sometimes run with just the outer seal and expect the gear oil to lube them? Thanks!
