The 251's went on into the early seventies, at least they did in the parts book and the slant 6's went in later, if my memory serves me. They showed the export frame and cowl all the way up to 1980
Overseas clients kept wanting them and a few ole dodge engineers probably tried to keep her going as long as they could but it was a loosing battle against the shills in management
How hard could it have been to put in a diesel or upgrade the 251 or 265 for that matter and a padded dash and the gearing etc.
