No slope is not great,but what I would recommend is an asphalt modified urethane(liquid membrane ,no seams).We use alot of it out here on the "wet coast".Then a layer of protection , a couple or more inches of drainage area(drain rock),filter cloth and then your soil.This will obviously add weight so check your structure.
