Basically trying to solve two problems, keep the downstairs cooler until I build the second floor walls and roof(which is a year or two down the road) and need to seal the concrete because it bleeds thru below. The rainy season here rains in buckets, especially towards the end, but the dry season is basically rain free except for a rare rain every now and last for another six months.. We are heading into the dry season now. There is no slope on the slab, so a little worried about the drainage thatīs why I thought it would be better to put sand first and the dirt. Trying to figure out the best way(material) to seal the concrete though.
