I used to work for an old Russian stone sculptor many years ago. I had a winch on the front of my truck that we used to pull granite rocks out of a creek. We would drag the rock onto a piece of 3/4" plywood. We lifted them from the ground to the bed of my truck by prying one side and slipping a 2x4 under, then doing the same thing on the other side. Then we would pry and another on each side until it was at the level of the bed, then we would pry the rock up and slip pieces of 3/4" galvanized pipe between the rock and the plywood, and roll it on to the truck bed.
You might be able to do the reverse of this with smaller strips of wood. Use a combination of 5 piecesd of 1/2" 3/4" strips to replace one of the 4x4s. Go back and forth on each side of the machine, removing one at a time.
The thinner pieces will help the machine from leaning to0 far during the process.
