Quite a lake there. And that was a sad day. My folks just sold their house on Madeline Island. I've been there about 6 times and been to the museum where they give you a tour about the history of the island etc.
Being a surfer I was always hoping to see some waves.. I did find a post card once with what looked like about 10 ft. waves breaking on a rocky point. I wanted to surf it. The post card said giants waves crashing on the shores of Lake Superior.
