The closed knuckle 70F was used by Dodge up to and including 1974. Remember number of studs, however. The early ones will have 6-hole wheels and the late will have 8-hole. In 1975 they went to the open knuckle 60. Axle shaft spline counts change also.

International Harvester used the same axle assembly with the exception of the universal joints. IH used cross and roller [Spicer] joints, not Tracta's. The Tracta is nice because it won't buck in a turn on dry road like a cross and roller joint.

The Dana 70 front is a magnificent axle.
