What part of Tex. you from, I bought my first ff(after owning a 65 w100) a 47 wdx from the Dodge dealer in La Grange for $500 when I lived in Austin, however it was running 750x16 and had the 4.89 gears, which I kept but ran 900s so that may be why I felt the 251 pulled better as it had the 5.83s. John Minyard was my mechanic who redid the diffs. trans, 230 and tc, he also did work for the spelunkers(cavers) Pete Sprouse and co. Always cool to meet a fellow Texan fff(flat fender freak).
