Does the pedal hold pressure when applied?
Also how big of a hill are we talking about, not Pikes Peak I hope?
Finally does the emergency brake function good?
If they are working as they should I think the trip would be ok, just drive it as if they might NOT work. No tailgating,no WOT driving, be prepared to downshift or use some other method of stopping, etc.
If you are aware that they might fail, you are less likely to have problems than if they unexpectantly quit working.
