any of the longer blocks are superior if more hp and rpms are what you are looking for. the smaller blocks have offset rods, while the longer blocks rods are not offset. you can work a 25" block to get more breathing and more hp by swapping out the cam and springs and using a 237 crank to get the best rpms. find a factory 2bbl intake and split cast exhaust for trouble free improved breathing. run a small 2bbl carb, an electronic dist and balance the whole assembly. it will produce a better driving vehicle and still look stock to all but those in the know.
