Tony @ Dunrite Converters had a 4 poster and he used to leave it up with 3/4-1 ton pickups on it for several day at a time, Until we were done fixing the rig. Including my RAM. We had the same trouble letting it down sometimes with one of the dogs not always letting go. When the lift was first installed one of dogs wouldn't grab. Finally got that fixed, though. Tony has owned other shops with lifts and the only thing he ever mentioned was when he was in El Monte, California. They would not leave the lifts up overnight because of the possibility of earthquakes.
