...I would about bet that Dodge decided that they were not selling enough rear PTO assemblies and mechanical governors with their Power-Wagons to justify engineering a whole new governor setup to work with the 251 engine they were planning to use starting in '61. That was probably the determining factor in them pulling the plug on the rear PTO. By 1960, most farmers had already figured out that there were better tractors available than a Power-Wagon.
