I am reassembling my t-case and have both output assemblies done. the assembly going to the centered rear axle, with the e-brake on it, seems normal.

The assembly going to the offset rear axle, the "old" axle output shaft with the cone-shaped housing, it seems to be incorrectly assembled.

I think this because I can look between the gear the the bottom of the housing and see the large shaft bearing. This bearing isn't seated completely in the race.

My question is: are the two output shaft the same length?
Remember, the shaft with the e-brake also has the speedo pinion port so that shaft has the speedo gear also. This means the speedo gear is one additional "spacer" on the shaft that the other shaft hasn't got.

I am using a blown up exploded view of the components to reassemble them and I don really think I've left something out or added something that wasn't supposed to be there.

But if the shafts are a different length and I've got them switched than it seems that that would account for the way the bearing isn't seating in the cone properly.

Anybody have any thoughts on this here problem?

thanks. Joel
