I haven't gotten that copy of MV yet. However, Nissan and Toyota built 3/4 ton trucks that were near copies of M37s starting during the Korean War, the US Army used some of them. Later, at least the Nissan version were and still are built in India under license. The Toyota version was called the FQ10. F is for an early version of the "F" 3.9L 6 cyl gas engine, an early version of the F series used in Landcruisers, itself a copy of the 235 ci Chevy "stovebolt" 6. An interesting variant was the HQ10, H being the designation for Toyota's 6 cyl diesel, originally 3.6L, later enlarged to 4.0L in the 2H in 1980. An HQ10 in good mechanical and body condition would be a valuable and useful find. H engine parts are available in the Landcruiser universe, a nearby universe to the Dodge truck universe (some of us even travel through wormholes between the two universes! - like me).
