Sure-grip is the Auburn version of a l/s. It is a very good unit but the friction plates do wear out - it should last 2 or 3 times as long as a track-loc.

Track lock has friction plates on one side of the spider gears. Power-loc is better in that is has plates on both sides of the spider gears - more plates = longer life. Track locks last about 30K mls in the rear - much longer in front for p/t 4x4. Power-locs last around 90 K mls in a rear. Power-loc's also use an extra cross shaft which keeps the spider gears tollerance less.
