I replaced the factory heater on my 1949 B1PW with a "TropicAir" heater from a 1941 WC-9 ambulance. The "TropicAir" heater has 2 blower motors in the main body and a third blower dedicated to the defrost vents. It also uses 1-inch hoses instead of 5/8-inch or 3/4-inch hoses. I love it when running in below zero weather here in Wyoming. I also use a small Coleman catalytic heater that I set on the seat during really extreme weather - under 30 below zero. Carhart insulated coveralls and Sorrel boots also help keep the frostbite to a minimum.
