I'm having a problem with my 1974 D200 well wait a second this is the PowerWagon forum so for this message its a W200. Anyways its a 1974 D200 with a 440 and 727 4.10 Dana 60.

2 weeks or so ago it started to run like crap. Stutter and sputter on aceleration and backfire thru carb. I could adjust timing and idle screws on carb and it would run like a champ. Then next time you drive it it would run bad again.

Last Saturday...... did a full rebuild on the Carter AVS. Got it running PERFECT. Drove for 3 hours that night and it was great.

Sunday evening. BLizzard hits. Had to take old lady to the store. Got the truck running and it was cold blooded. Once up to running temp it stutter sputter and backfired thru carb one time and after that was fine for the rest of the trip to the store. Ran GREAT!

Monday Today....
Wont run for shit. Stutter and sputter and backfire. 4 barrels open and bog motor.

Replace cap and rotor and runs GREAT
Drive to place and its fine. Leave place to come home and its running like crap again.

Go to parts store again
Buy new Coil
Put coil on and now it wont run decent at all. It was dark and 6 degrees outside so I called it a night. Any ideas?????

It has new plugs, cap, rotor, coil, carb rebuild. New fuel filter and air filter.

Have sprayed ether around looking for vacuum leaks. All appears sealed.

Any ideas?
