Years and years ago we had a few companies that went overseas. Got thier products produced a little cheaper. Was less quality and sold for less. It probably took some business away but before long corporate greed took over and all the companies decided they coudl get their products produced for cheap cheap and still sell them here in the states for the same price or higher then what they did sell for.

Also Clinton signed some bill or manufacturing paperwork and I forget what it was called. Companies used to have to produce a product that had to have a certain life span. They also had to have a certain amount of parts available for repairs in case a product failed before its lifespan was up. Anyways this bill or paperwork basically lowered the time period and parts availbility to nothing. This is why we buy DVD Players at WalMart and they blow up in 45 days.
