I have an original letter from the Rand Drill Company, dated 1897, quoting a "500 horse power Compressor, similar to t Helena & Frisco, f.o.b. cars Chicago" at $16,750. No details on the design but it must have been similar. Ingersoll and Rand merged in 1905.
