were the old races bad? usually htey are not. if still shiny all hte way across should be good. no cupping or wear paterns engraved either. maybe try throwing in an old one and see if that is the problem. I am not a beliver in matching bearings by what is close in measurements. as far as a I know the correct bearing numbers are still available. not sure what VPW is selling. what brand?
