This complete original 1950's 8 foot Good Roads Machinery Corporation of Minerva, Ohio plow set-up comes with new custom made hydraulic cylinders to match the original look and throw of the large center and two smaller side lifter cylinders. The originals are rusted stuck, but are included with the sale. The beauty of this set-up is that the mounts do not have to be removed from the truck to use the winch and they hang down no lower than the axle housing at the front differential, so no noticeable ground clearance is sacrificed. The side hydraulic lifters, also called "booster rams,” raise the front end of the truck as the plow is raised and relieve the front suspension of all of the weight of the plow. With the plow raised, the front springs of the truck carry none of the weight and it takes all of the abuse away from the suspension that is normally found in trucks running heavy plows. Only two holes have to be drilled in the frame to mount the entire system. All of the rest of the mounting points make use of existing holes found on the truck.

I have taken the plow completely apart and had the expectation of media blasting, priming and painting it, but never got around to it. This makes it very easy to move and transport the plow though! All the parts have been gone through and are without cracks. I am also including two original/correct working Monarch Hy-Lo Jack Hw pumps along with a hard to find remote hydraulic fluid container that go with the setup. Everything, but the hoses is there for your upcoming winter plowing.

The plow is being sold as is and is located near Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Due to its size and weight, about 1500 pounds, this is a pick-up only item.

The black plow in the pictures is Clint Dixon's and is used with permission. Thanks Clint. More pictures available upon request. I will include detailed disassembly pictures and literature with the sale, so any assembly questions are easily addressed.

Offered at: $2,500 OBO.
