Copey, several years ago(25+) there was a lot of counterfeit oil on the market. you had to be very carful WHERE you bought oil. at that time I bought oil by the case, I gummed up a almost new powerwagon so bad I didn't know if it would survive. washed it out with three or four oil changes in the space of ten days or so. there was large amounts of crud that came out of that drain hole, the truck survived the ordeal with no apparent damage. I bought some oil for my oil field engine once(dollar store) and mixed it in the oiler with a name brand oil, guess what? it didn't mix!! like water and oil! I guess what it boils down to, is to be careful about where and what brand we use. Dave.
