Copey,
I have my vehicles with Haggerty. The way it works in my case was the agent made me get an apprasial from one of THEIR approved appraisers. Show them all your reciepts, they actually come to your house and ask questions and "judge" your vehicle.

There are options but I have the "agreed value" option, which in this case is the appraised value. Meaning, if it is totalled out or stolen they will pay the TOTAL appraised, agreed value.

Overinflated appraisals kind of wash out because your premium is based on the value. They don't care what the vehicle it is. It is just a miney value to them.

I've always looked at the insurance game as a couple of gamblers meeting. Your betting you'll have a problem, they are betting you don't and the odds are your premium cost.

Bottom line is all insurance companies are fine when paying your premiums. It's when you have a claim that things come to light.

I'd be interested to know of anyone on the forum who HAS had a claim and how it worked out.
