Also,I would run it till the T-case and trans got weak,then find a 81-85 W350 and get the trans and T-case.You will then have a truck as stout as a FF,but will have speed and plenty of power.Another thought,how was this truck broken in?If it was broke in pulling heavy loads,thats what its used too.May use oil and seem doggy just cruising around if so.I had one(440) that did me that way.Loaded with the cobs blown out,it wouldnt use a drop of oil and it got around 12mpg.Cruising,well used a little oil and became very sluggish with about 7-8mpg??Always baffled me.
