I got around mpg 5 to 7 with the 440 and fulltime automatic I drove until i sold it, it eats up the 203 chains, they streched real quick, might be a updated chain availble now, but it ruined every 20k miles if u floor it and mud a little, there used to be a adjustable chain kit to keep the slack out without pulling the 203 apart to replace the chain, seems like that chain was $100 then and $500 to install it so it wont slip under heavy throttle, i think the kit used a allen wrench that one removed a added allen wrech hole to adjust out the slack somehow from outside the 203 with tearing it down, might have been a direct connection part number too i am thinking?? it was a great truck but needed to be a overdive 5 speed with locking hubs to try to get 10 mpg, you can watch the gas guage falling as u were pulling a trailer with that nin od 410s front and rear dragging, but what a truck!!!! I added a set of big tube headers and cherry bomb glass packs and huge double stack air cleaner, it would break loose the tires at 50 easy over and overlol Buy it for $3500 and see if u can live with its gas addiction. Great find really, please buy it!!!
