You have a truck there that if you can get it for around the 3 to 4k,then it would be woth it i.e. if its not a rust bucket.Check floorboards and rear wheel wells. Its all fixable, but those are the most typical rust areas. That truck is equiped with a Dana 60 front and rear axle(RARE).It should be geared at 4:11 rear/4:10 front.I have always been told that the 203 T-cases are always full-time,but I ran a part-time axle under my wifes old 77 she had and never had a lick of problems. It will be the 203.I have never seen or heard of a truck in the mid/late 70s that had a 205 without having manual hubs on the front axle.In fact,I have only seen them on duallies.Put a set of lock-out hubs on the front,33" tall tires and you should get at least 12 mpg(if you keep your foot out of it).I got around 14mpg with my old 74 W200 with a 440 out of a New Yorker.Course I did have a 4-speed behind it which helped a bunch.Hope this info helps.Looks like a awsome truck. We have one close to it.Never have checked fuel mileage.Course ours only has the 44 front which wont alow manual hubs.
