If everything checks out that Kaegi suggests, then I suggest its time to open and rebuild the knuckles. I have never seen a Old PW that did not have serious wear in the knuckle. Click on my link at the bottom of this post, then scroll down to rebuilding the knuckles. This will give you a idea of what it takes and is inside.
