Yeah, it helps the swelling. Anti-venom is a giant waste of time and money, you can look it up yourself. My dog got bit twice by a pretty good sized rattler (two separate occasions) and was fine. My biddies dog has been bit 3 or 4 times. It knocks them out of commission for a couple days and then they're back at it.
