My local gas station started to sell corn gas 14 years ago since i farmed I should buy corn gas .Plus I was loyal to the owner so.I used to run a lot of gas powered implements roto tillers garden tractor lawn mower chain saws plenty of hours on all of then and plenty of corn gas. On 4cylinder industrial engines that a I use rings always went always had carb problems constant flooding and hard starts . The reason is that the alcohol picks up and retains MOISTURE its that simple and gas breaths constantly expanding and contract and continuously picks up moisture > when alcohol and water mixes and comes into contact with any dissimilar materials this /the formation of what appears to be some kind of oxidation that plugs corrodes or simply ruins a good fuel system .this is evident to me because some of the engines i run for power were built in the sixties and i owned them then they ran well then ! then the switch to corn gas was a disaster for me . I was glad my friend sold the station and I went to the ESSO gas which is 10 % corn but i add to every thing even my car a shot of sthil two stroke oil . The corn gas always plays havoc on my fuel sending units they lose or gain conductivity because now you have alcohol water mix and gasoline was a mess ~ Copey
