The license is a Washington State 1951 version. the "T" stands for truck. "A" is King County and the rest is the sequential number.
You can run plates of the same year that your vehicle was made if you license it as a "Classic" vehicle. There are some restrictions on use but you only pay registrations fees once. I payed in 1988 and not a dime since then. Basically it can not be a daily driver or used for commercial work.
