John, about 10 years ago somebody on the TDR website was selling repro PW emblems in polished 304 stainless and they looked just like the originals. I can't remember who it was and I can't find any of them anymore. But when comparing costs of going from plain steel to stainless vs. the cost of chroming now, I thought stainless may be better and more cost effective in the long run. How thick are your emblems? The reason I ask is if they are thick enough, I would chuck them up in a milling machine to step cut the underlines like the original emblems had. Either way, you definitely got my attention with these, and am very curious to see how you do with a stainless set....
